Cleanliness in the public areas could definitely use more attention, especially in the hallways!!! The air conditioning could be better maintained as well—it's quite inconvenient when basic amenities fail to operate properly!!!

The staff were absolutely lovely, and the rooms had comfy beds with eyes-closed-for-days pillows. Oh, and can I just say, those towels felt like clouds against my skin!

But dearie, the place could use a strong spritz of air freshener or maybe a hazmat team! I felt I'd walked into a retired swamp rather than a hotel.

The location was convenient for visiting Claytor Lake State Park, which was a highlight of the trip. The indoor pool offered a refreshing break after a day outdoors, and the fitness center was a nice extra for keeping active. However, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, and the hot hallways were uncomfortable. Overall, it had its pluses, but improvements are definitely needed.

Room had air conditioning, private bathroom with shower, and a microwave. The desk was convenient for work, but the cable channels were limited. The bed was comfy, and the hairdryer was helpful. Breakfast was chaotic with cold food. Overall, not the best experience, especially given the state of the place.

I loved how close the hotel was to Claytor Lake State Park, just about 3.5 km away, perfect for a relaxing walk and lovely views, and it was nice to discover Randolph Park, only a little over 4 km from the hotel, where I enjoyed a peaceful stroll surrounded by greenery and fresh air.

Comfortable stay with friendly staff

I appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the comfortable King Room Non-Smoking we stayed in. The breakfast offered a decent variety, including fresh options, although it could use some improvement in quality. It was a convenient location for our travels, but I noticed the need for better cleaning in some common areas.

The indoor pool was the highlight of our stay, perfect for unwinding after a long drive! 😊 Unfortunately, the breakfast wasn’t as fresh as expected, with some items being a hit or miss.

The indoor pool was refreshing, and we fit in some golf at the Pete Dye River Course. The rooms were comfy, and the fitness center was a nice touch to keep us active. Just a heads up, the breakfast can be a bit hit or miss, so plan accordingly!

One downside was the encounter with the front desk staff. they seemed overwhelmed and not very helpful. It took a while to get our room situation sorted, which was frustrating after a long drive.
